Hafsah Faizal is an American Muslim author, designer and entrepreneur who has a story to share, but it’s no fictional tale…it’s real and it happened to her!
As a teenager Hafsah was a keen blogger. By 17 she had written her first novel and at 26 she has an award-winning duology under her belt, her own design business and was recently a Forbes 30 Under 30 2021 honoree.
For this inspiring event, Hafsah joins us LIVE from Dallas, Texas to talk about her journey to becoming a writer and reveal her creative process and the influences behind her award-winning, Arabian-inspired Sands of Arawiya duology.
Expect captivating readings, illuminating insights and plenty of time for burning questions. Ask Hafsah anything from the influence of gaming in her writing (she loves Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed), to how Arabian culture inspired her and how her work as a web designer helps with her writing. Hearing about Hafsah’s illustrious career is a good way to start discussions in class about connecting learning to the world of work and possible career pathways.
Following the latest Coronavirus restrictions, this live virtual event will go ahead with a limited schools audience. We'll then share a recording of the event on our website to watch on demand. Applications are open to anyone who wants to join live.
