Industry Lab: Writing for children

Our online lab and training opportunity for writers is open for applications.

This lab is aimed at professional and emerging writers working on writing for children around the 8-12-year-old bracket (also known as Middle Grade Fiction or Middle Fiction). It will provide help and resources for anyone writing for, or hoping to write for, young readers.

We are working in partnership with the Scottish BAME Writers Network(this will open in a new window) on this lab. We will reserve at least half of the spaces for writers based in Scotland who are Black/from the African diaspora, Brown, Asian, or identify as People of Colour, including people of mixed heritage.
