Scottish Book Trust offers funded training courses to support early years professionals and volunteers to make sure that stories, songs and rhymes are part of every baby and young child’s life.

All Bookbug training is funded and offered at no cost to the delegate. Please check you meet the eligibility criteria before registering for a course.

Webinar: Returning to in-person Bookbug Sessions - Q&A session

Join members of the Scottish Book Trust Early Years team for an informal session during which you can ask questions about the return of in-person Bookbug Sessions. We’ve created guidance and a short film which we hope will answer some of your questions about resuming Bookbug Sessions, so please familiarise yourself with these before joining the live Q&A session.

Hosted by Paul Kane (Early Years Trainer) and Kirsty Sinclair (Acting Head of Early Years), this webinar is suitable for anyone who is planning to deliver in-person Bookbug Sessions, and has attended Bookbug Session Leader training.

In this webinar we will reflect on what has been learnt from over a year from delivering online Bookbug Sessions. Led by Early Years Trainer Paul Kane, it will include practical examples, tips and ideas from practitioners to keep your online Bookbug Sessions fresh and engaging. This webinar is suitable for Bookbug Session Leaders currently delivering online or leaders looking to move to online Bookbug Sessions.

Please note that this is not Bookbug Session Leader training. If you wish to run Bookbug Sessions, you will still need to attend a full day of Bookbug Session Leader Training when we restart.
