Authors Live: Room on the Broom in Scots and Scottish folklore

A special Halloween broadcast with James Robertson and Lari Don

Date: Thursday 29 October

Time: 11am

Audience: P2-7

After the popularity of last year’s The Gruffalo in Scots and Gaelic event, James Robertson is back in time for Halloween to share his Scots translation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Room on the Broom. James will be joined by Scottish storyteller and children’s author Lari Don. They’ll be discussing the rich culture of Scottish folklore and storytelling, and Lari will treat us to a wonderful storytelling performance. It will be the perfect way to get in the mood for Halloween!

For a chance to appear in the broadcast and ask James and Lari your burning questions on film, contact Anna Broomfield on anna.broomfield@scottishbooktrust.com(this will open in a new window). BBC Scotland Producers will help you to film a question at home to potentially be included in the event. You can also ask questions live during the broadcast using #BBCAuthorsLive(this will open in a new window) on Twitter.
