Visit organiser websiteThis Book Week Scotland, we are celebrating Scotland's Stories and the people who write them. We are delighted to welcome Scottish playwright Uma Nada-Rajah to Hillhead Library.
A graduate of the Ecole Philippe Gaulier and a winner of the Playwrights' Studio Scotland New Playwrights Award, Uma is one of the BBC's Scottish Voices 2020 and was most recently the Starter Female Political Comedy writer-in-residence at the National Theatre of Scotland.
Winner of the inaugural Kavya Prize at Aye Write in 2022 for her play Toy Plastic Chicken, Uma will deliver a free inspiring workshop for budding playwrights demonstrating how exploring libraries can provide creative writing inspiration.
