We'll begin with a talk by Lynn Cassells, co-author with Sandra Baer of Our Wild Farming Life: Adventures on a Scottish Highland Croft (Chelsea Green). Lynn and Sandra's journey into crofting was inspired by their reading as well as their experiences of working on the land. They were commissioned to write Our Wild Farming Life after being featured on BBC2's 'This Farming Life'. They love sharing their story and hope to inspire others in their turn. Their book is a page-turner, full of wonder for the powers of nature.

The bar will be open from 6pm, so you can order drinks for the break. The first half of the event will be shared digitally from 7pm – 8pm. After a Q&A session and a break at 8pm for refreshments, we'll celebrate the 'Special Books' nominated by members of the public. Then, thanks to funding from Book Week Scotland, we'll end the evening by giving away copies of nominated books, along with paperbacks by Highland authors.
