Mercuro-chrome is the tin-foiled alter ego of artist and writer Jamie Bolland. For this book week event, they will perform in the style of the barras soapbox -spieler - from the Estd. market stall on Moncur St, at the Barras.

The work will features a series of excerpts from their latest work I AM A COCOON and responses from other Barras stall holders to the theme of Psych Ward by utilizing a new padded-envelope coat designed by Morven Mulgrew. In each envelope will be fragmentary text associated with the non-language of delirium and psychological torpor, presented within the framework of a radio phone-in show, of which Mercuro-chrome will be both the host and the caller. There will be background music and a few hits from the Mercuro-Chrome back catalogue.

This event will be developed/recorded on Saturday and then edited into a show for Clydebuilt Radio to be aired on the Sunday, following the weekend tradition of the Barras Market. Audiences can come along to Moncur St. 1-2pm to watch the radio show live, or tune in at the same time at clydebuiltradio.com(this will open in a new window).

Please contact the event organiser(this will open in a new window) for booking information.
