Making it Home – Food to make you feel at home

Local chef and author Christopher Trotter show us how the local produce of this area is linked to recipes and rituals throughout the ages. We will learn how food is featured in local folklore and links us to our home. We will learn recipes from the people of yesterday who made this place their home and used local produce in different ways.

Christopher will showcase samples of produce grown in the local area and will then cook, in real time, a selection of recipes from his books for people to try at home.

This event will celebrate the bounty of our local area and celebrate Scotland's Stories through the joy of cooking dishes from local folklore and eating together.
