In this talk Gordon will outline some of the important new research on the Picts of Northeast Scotland that has led to the new book Picts: Scourge of Rome, Rulers of the North by Gordon Noble and Nicholas Evans.
This is the first book to combine up-to-date knowledge on both the history and archaeology of the Picts from their first mention in the Roman period to their disappearance in the Viking Age.
Gordon will have copies of his book with him for sale at the event.
