Beloved Haddington eatery, the family owned and operated Caffe Luca, has become a staple of the community since their opening in 2021. As a Scottish family with Italian heritage, the Luca's specialise in creating authentic Italian food, coffees, and pastries utilising both ingredients shipped directly from Italy as well as locally-sourced.

Join us as we visit Luca's Sarah Callaghan, as she recreates recipes supplied from our Archives department.

Taken from a collection of papers from the Gibb Family of Dunbar, the pages were hand-penned in 1858 by John Gibb, who operated a popular bakery on Dunbar High Street. The recipes are thought to have been traditional staples of his shop.

This pre-recorded video will go live on the East Lothian YouTube channel on Monday 14 November.
