100 years of "Rutherglen Lore" by William R Shearer

Some rare Rutherglen photographs and Shearer family information are presented in this slideshow and talk by carol Foreman and Zen Boyd. The famous history book Rutherglen Lore was first published 100 years ago in 1922. William Ross Shearer – the first librarian of Rutherglen Library wrote the definitive history of Rutherglen and included his own excellent photographs of the area.
