This is one of the afternoon workshops being run as part of the Healing Power of Stories Event(this will open in a new window). Our digital storytelling(this will open in a new window) programme, run in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, offers online workshops to help people affected by cancer share their stories. At this event, we will watch and celebrate the stories created through the programme. It’s up to you whether you want to come to the morning session, an afternoon workshop, or both!
Writer Briege McElhatton will help you explore your cancer experience through creative writing in this workshop. Telling stories and other creative forms of writing can be a vital and enriching way for individuals to make sense of the experiences of living with Cancer. Owning your own story and expressing it by telling or writing and reading aloud is SO powerful both in the telling and in the hearing of it. This can be a magical process for all involved. This workshop is intended as a 'taster' for Briege's upcoming 'Say What Matters' writing workshop series, which will be open to people affected by cancer in Scotland.
Please let us know in the order form if you have any accessibility requirements to allow you to comfortably attend this event.
