Leonora Rustamova is Senior Editor at Bluemoose Books – a snorting, stamping northern alternative to the Publishing Giants of old London Town -- (Here she would gently put a question in the margin for the writer of this intro, asking 'Is the metaphor intended to illustrate the feisty opposition represented by indie publishing houses? Or is it the 'Leonora' who is doing the snorting? This needs to be clearer).
She has edited a range of works gaining prizes such as The Walter Scott, The Portico, The Arthur C.Clarke, The Gordon Burn and the Guardian's Not the Booker. She assists in the selection and development of new writers from first draft to publication. Her latest edits include Should We Fall Behind by Sharon Duggal which was selected for the BBC's Between the Covers and shortlisted for The Royal Society's Encore prize this year.
Leonora will answer questions on the editing process and on manuscript selection.
