(BSL/English) You find yourself in the hospital and cry out for water. You’re not convinced anyone can see you until a doctor asks you a direct question. You know you should spend the night—they even have your pill—but they’re not listening to what you’re asking for.

A discussion group for book-lovers who identify as d/Deaf, disabled, Spoonie, neurodiverse and/or who are living with mental illness. This time we're looking at Emily Gillespie's short story, No Room at the Inn, from the Aurora-nominated anthology, 'Nothing Without Us'. We have ten free copies of the anthology (eBook) to give away to participants. You can watch Fergus McNicol read the story (English/captions) or Nicholas Padden-Duncan sign it (BSL).

Two BSL/English interpreters at live event. Live captions will also available.

The text, No Room at the Inn, is available as a video (BSL/English/captions), audio file or eBook (limited numbers) Event poster available as image and video (BSL/English/captions).

Please register in advance for this meeting via the booking link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
