Join FEARY for a Scottish Book Week special featuring Katherine Angel, author of Tomorrow Sex Will Be Good Again (Verso, 2021). We'll hear from Katherine Angel on the necessities (and challenges) that come with theorising about sex and desire in 'the age of consent', followed by an hour-long reading group session where we'll discuss portions of Tomorrow Sex Will Be Good Again in typical FEARY style. Katherine Angel is the author of Tomorrow Sex Will Be Good Again (Verso), published in 2021 to critical acclaim and widespread international coverage. She is also the author of Daddy Issues (Peninsula Press), and Unmastered: A Book on Desire, Most Difficult to Tell (Penguin/Allen Lane). All three have been, or are being, published in both the US and UK, and in translation (in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Brazil).

ABOUT FEARY Study of critical theory and non-fiction work has long been confined to the academy, with a lack of mainstream engagement outside of universities and a frequent density often rendering it inaccessible. FEARY: A Theory Reading Group sets out to democratise access to theoretical material - in particular, texts concerned with feminism, gender, and sex - through monthly reading groups. The group aims to be a welcoming and supportive space in which to discuss and demystify theory and non-fiction work, taking a relatively informal approach to our meetings. All welcome!
