Join us during Book Week Scotland for an inspirational workshop with non-binary artist Jem Milton. This workshop will introduce us to the process of creating autobiographical art and keeping visual diaries and journals. Jem will be sharing some journal-based work, drawing with us during the session, and encouraging us all to have a go at creating something ourselves. You will need to have some materials handy if you'd like to join in and draw along and there will be some time at the end to share and ask questions.

Jem (they/he) is a non-binary artist based in Glasgow, and has been working in visual arts doing a varied range of disciplines such as illustration, comic art and graphic recording. As well as an ongoing web series based on Russian folklore called The Flying Ship, they are just releasing a sequel to their autobiographical comic collection 'Polly Who', which follows the journey of their exploration of polyamory and gender transition. You can see more of their work at jmiltondraws.com(this will open in a new window) or @jmiltondraws on Twitter and Instagram.
