Voted as one of the top 10 Scottish novels of the past 50 years in 2014, Louise Welsh’s debut The Cutting Room first hit bookshelves in 2002. This blend of tartan noir and gothic erotica earned the author plaudits from across the UK and shook up the Scottish literary landscape by bringing an LGBTQ+ angle to the crime genre’s macho landscape. This event is part of the Book Week Scotland 2020 Digital Festival.
