As part of SASW's celebration of Book Week Scotland, join us for a webinar looking at how social work has changed over time. Hosted by Sarah McMillan, Professional Officer at SASW and featuring published Scottish author Alistair Findlay(this will open in a new window). The session will include poetry and memoirs from Alistair's career as a social worker, linking into a discussion around how this relates to the position today and considering what the future might hold.
There will be opportunity to submit questions and your own reflections to the presenters. Poetry can have such a positive impact on wellbeing and we invite you to take some time out and enjoy hearing the reflective nature of this initiative.
The winner of our SASW poetry competition will also be announced and we will hear a reading of the the poem. If you would like, do submit a poem to the competition "Social Work Past, Present & Future", details of which you can find here.
The first 40 people to sign up and attend the webinar will be sent out a copy of 'Future', published by the Scottish Book Trust and made up of true stories from people all over Scotland.
