Cameron McNeish is an award-winning writer and television presenter and is Scotland’s best-known outdoor commentator. As a passionate mountaineer and hillwalker, Cameron has climbed and hiked extensively in Scotland, and has led treks in Nepal, India, Pakistan, Jordan, Morocco, Guatemala, Turkey and North America. Television successes include The Edge: 100 Years of Scottish Mountaineering; two series of Wilderness Walks; and The Adventure Show. He is a Vice President of Ramblers Scotland and Patron of Scottish Orienteering and Mountain Aid. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. His talk, There’s Always the Hills, looks back on his adventurous life and examines some of the books and individuals that have most inspired him. Suitable for 12 years+. There is a bar in the venue, which will be open to serve drinks/coffee during the interval.
