Get chatty on and off the dancefloor at our Book Week Scotland event.
Ready to sing along and shake it up to top tunes by women? The Feminist Disco is here for you. This winter we’re inspired by Book Week Scotland and its Conversation theme – so expect the same classic tracks with an extra side of conversation. Share a story in the loos, big up your favourite band or a share a simple ‘I love this song’ as you rip it up on the dancefloor. Not much of a chatter box? Lose yourself in the music as we spin the tunes that talk to us.
The Feminist Disco is a fun and LGBTQIA friendly night of dancing at a (semi) reasonable hour. Everybody over 18 welcome (no you’re not too old).
What kind of music are we talking about? Artists like: Salt-n-Pepa, Patti Smith, Beyonce, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, M.I.A, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, The Ronettes, Gloria Gaynor, Lady Gaga, Janelle Monae, Blondie, Missy Elliot, Hole, Robyn, Carly Simon, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Nenah Cherry, Goldfrapp, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Rihanna, St Vincent, The Supremes, Gossip, St Etienne, Fleetwood Mac, Fugees, Santigold.
Over 18s only.
Wheelchair accessible by lift.
