In this Blether Together session, Perth College UHI will join with members of Support in Mind Scotland. We are great believers that writing creatively is good for our mental health generally, so as well as doing some fun exercises that will stimulate a piece of writing, author Tracey Emerson will talk about the benefits of journal-keeping when we are going through a difficult time in life.
Tracey recently published a successful psychological thriller, She Chose Me. Before writing fiction, she worked in theatre and community arts. As well as acting, she ran drama workshops in hospitals, focusing on adults with mental health issues. Tracey was one of the authors who took part in Book Week Scotland last year and it was a great success, so we are looking forward to having her back.
The workshop session will be followed by lunch with the author, with the opportunity to continue blethering.
This event is open to anybody interested in creative writing, but please note the author will cover mental health issues.
It is possible to arrive earlier than the start time and wait in reception.
Please note the event is limited to 15 spaces, so booking is essential.
