Guest Authors: Catherine Simpson and Ricky Monahan Brown.
The Edinburgh Literary Salon was formerly organised by the Edinburgh City of Literature, and has been run by a group of attendees for the last 15 months on a non-profit basis. Regular meetings are held at the Wash Bar on the last Tuesday of the month; an opportunity for writers of all persuasions to meet and mingle.
November’s Salon will be held at Edinburgh Waterstones (West End) on a different Tuesday (19th) to coincide with Book Week Scotland. As this year’s theme is ‘Conversation’, we will be having a blether about ourselves.
Our focus is Memoirs, and we will be welcoming Catherine Simpson (When I had a Little Sister) and Ricky Monahan Brown (Stroke) to talk about their recent books.
Reception and mingling from 6pm. Panel discussion at 7pm. Mingle until 9pm.
The Literary Salon is free and open to anyone.
We welcome donations to assist with running costs.
The event is unticketed, but please register with Waterstones if you plan to attend.
If you would like to submit a question on memoir-writing for the panel discussion, please email email@example.com.
