Dorothy Baird has taught creative writing for over 30 years, leading groups in community and mental health settings, and was the founder, and leader for five years, of the Young Edinburgh Writers (YEW) – a writing group for teenagers. She has two poetry collections, Leaving the Nest and Mind the Gap (published by Two Ravens Press and Indigo Dreams Publishing) and her poems have appeared in a wide variety of magazines and anthologies. She is a Human Givens psychotherapist, has three grown-up children and has lived in Currie for 30 years.
