Tom Hubbard
I am a novelist, poet, and literary and cultural scholar. My work features European and Scottish themes. I am Fife-born, much travelled, and have worked at universities in France, US, Hungary, Ireland, Scotland as researcher or professor.
I was the first librarian of the Scottish Poetry Library, 1984-92. A writer's residency, Chateau Lavigny, Switzerland (2012), overlooking Lake Geneva, is where I began writing my second novel, which has a bleak Fife setting: this would suggest that I thrive on contrast.
