Noelle Harrison
My creative work encompasses novels, short stories, plays, and creative copywriting. I've had eight novels published since 2003. My most recent novel is The Gravity of Love (Black and White Publishing, 2018). My books have been translated into over 13 languages worldwide, and my short stories have been included in anthologies such as Gutter Magazine and Lines of Vision, Irish writers on Art published by the National Gallery of Ireland. My writing crosses several genres: popular literary fiction, romance, mystery, historical, science fiction and erotica (with some books written under the pen name Evie Blake).
My play Witches' Gets about witch trials in Norway in 1663 will premiere in June 2019. The show raises questions of gender, and identity. I have been teaching creative writing since 2003. In 2015, I established Aurora Writers Retreats running workshops and retreats in Scotland, Ireland and Norway. As part of my Masters in Creative Writing at Napier University, I delivered a series of lectures - Technique through Genres - as a teaching intern on the undergraduate program. I have sat on panels with other writers - currently on The Love Panel - and interviewed other writers in front of live audiences, appeared on live TV, as well as giving countless readings.
