Morag Livingstone: award winning documentary filmmaker, investigative journalist & internationally published best selling author.  She is co-author of two best selling books Hackney Child and Tainted Love (Simon & Schuster, 2014). Hackney Child was on the UK best-seller list for five weeks and has been translated and published in France (Abandonnée de tous: Archipoche, 2016).  Morag released her debut investigative journalism documentary Belonging the Truth Behind the Headlines in 2017.  Belonging received nine film festival awards, including three Best Documentary Awards.  

Morag has an Honours Degree in Business Studies and after 15 years working in the corporate sector returned to university to read a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London University of the Arts, where she is now an Associate Lecturer.  She is an experienced teacher and mentor of undergraduates and young people in storytelling (word and moving image).  She runs workshops and tutorials that support people to find and structure their story. She has been invited as “inspirational speaker” to events for the young and not so young across the UK.  She has also Chaired events on a range of topics and appeared on television and BBC World radio to discuss the findings from her work.
