The What to the grown-ups do? series is a light-hearted way of introducing primary aged children to different jobs. The books focus on the concept of balancing work and play as they follow real life people, supported by lots of photos to maintain interest for younger readers.

Before having children, Mairi was Managing Director of Graham Technology plc, a global software firm and is well versed with presenting at events, large and small. Since the company sold, Mairi set up several operations including farming Highland cattle, a hydro electric development, and boat charters.

Mairi's focus is on improving primary work education to prepare children for life, using light-hearted techniques for the younger primary age group (ideally 7-11 years).
