I am a published author and writing mentor based in Fife. Since February 2026, I have worked as a Literacy and Creative Writing Tutor at Glenochil Prison. In addition, I have been mentoring and tutoring emerging writers of all ages for over six years through the Product Magazine free mentoring programme and Creative Edinburgh. I also volunteered as a creative writing tutor at the Grassmarket Community Project in Edinburgh, working with vulnerable adults and leading reading sessions and workshops. Throughout my writing and mentoring, I have championed underrepresented writers, particularly those from working-class and immigrant backgrounds.

I have an engaging and insightful approach to tutoring that combines traditional writing techniques with encouragement for writers to discover their unique voice and remain true to their vision. I encourage them to challenge conventions, think creatively, and strive for originality- qualities I believe help writers stand out.

Having obtained a CELTA qualification, I have developed a range of teaching strategies that enhance lesson dynamics and make learning enjoyable. Drawing on this experience, I have designed my own courses, incorporating games, puzzles, and the exploration of other art forms to stimulate creativity and inspiration.
