Although I have no diplomas to wave about, my experiential learning throughout a tough life is worth sharing. Already, my book, Island Wife, on the truth of my marriage, my regular blog on what life is like as a carer for dementia, and my encounters with other ordinary women living a life they wouldn't have chosen, make more ripples than I ever imagined.

My speaking out tells others they are not alone. My song writing reflects my life and my thoughts on all aspects of what it is to be a woman, a mother, a long-term wife. I love to catch the sparkle in another's eyes when they hear their own story told. We become a team, all holding a strong rope that links us, that can change a day, perhaps, even, a life.
