David writes fiction and non-fiction for children. Fiction series include the LOLLIES-shortlisted Thorfinn the Nicest Viking, as well as Velda the Awesomest Viking and Top-Secret Grandad and Me. Non-fiction includes The Amazing Illustrated Atlas of Scotland and The Amazing History Atlas of Scotland. He has also written titles for publishers such as OUP and Collins Big Cat, and writes e-books through Fiction Express.

David enjoys getting out and about to visit schools, festivals and libraries. He can provide a range of writing workshops for children, and has also enjoyed working as an author-in-residence.
