I presently hold the position of the Tannahill Makar for Renfrewshire (a poetry ambassador), which covers Paisley and surrounding Renfrewshire, having recently retired from being a creative writing lecturer in Further Education working for the City of Glasgow College for a period of 16 years.

Both posts have involved me working with schools, primary and secondary, FE students and university students. I was a guest visiting professor in 2011 at Seattle University taking a narrative poetry semester. I've also worked for Kelvingrove Art Gallery taking creative writing workshops with schools and the general public.

I've had nine poetry collections published by Mariscat, Luath and Red Squirrel Press and have written three plays and short fiction also. My website gives a lot more detail about the disparate groups of students and a variety of projects that I've worked in amongst and supported.
