Character and story are important in my work, the ambiguity of apparently simple language an enduring delight. I am interested in rhythm, in the music of words in prose as well as verse. My work explores the landscapes we inhabit, physical, emotional, and ethical. Identity and community are important themes. And love. And lust. And loyalty. I am interested in form, in accessibility of literary text.

I enjoy readings, both poetry and prose, and have workshopped (poetry, short story, novel writing) with all ages in diverse settings.
