Alex R. Kahler's headshot

Alex is an American author recently relocated to Scotland. He specializes in gritty urban and apocalyptic fantasy for adults and teenagers. (Although he did publish a cute picture book about a fledgling drag queen...)

He also writes chilling tales for middle-grade audiences under the pseudonym KR Alexander. In all his works, he aims to increase positive representation for the LGBTQIA community.

He has appeared on panels at San Diego Comic Con and New York City Teen Author Fest, and has toured with award-winning authors like David Levithan and Andrea Cremer. He also volunteered his skills for 826 in Seattle, a nationally-renowned program designed to help students explore creative writing.

His goal is to continually create stories that allow every reader to see themselves represented on the page. After all, everyone is a hero in their own tale.
