Watch this event with best-selling and beloved picture book author Julia Donaldson! Julia will captivate your pupils with her interactive reading of What The Ladybird Heard (be prepared to shout some animal noises!). There is even a special guest cameo from one of her best-loved characters... who could it be?
Check out our Julia Donaldson learning resources(this will open in a new window) for lots of activities that you can do before or after watching this broadcast.
If you only do one thing
Police! EXA 0-02, EXA 1-02a, LIT 0-01a, LIT 0-11a, LIT 0-20a
We know time is tight, so why not complete just one activity before or after watching this event? Design “wanted” posters for Lanky Len and Hefty Hugh. You could even write a police report of the event or conduct an interview. Encourage pupils to use functional and imaginative writing. Pupils could also design a notice to warn local farmers that cow thieves have been at large in the area.
- Include a description of the criminals
- Details of what they are looking for
- Ideas to make sure they keep their animals secure
