David Melling: Hugless Douglass

Enjoy a storytelling and draw a long event with David Melling and his special guest, Hugless Douglass. Pupils can even enjoy taking part in a sing-a-long with Hugless in a chorus of ‘Heads, Shoulders Knees and Toes!’. Be sure to have pencil and paper ready and be limbered-up ready to sing!

We know time is tight so here is just one activity you could do with your class before or after watching this Authors Live event. 

Book of hugs HWB 0-30a, HWB 1-30b, EXA 0-12a

On the last few pages of Hugless Douglas there are different types of hug. Ask pupils to ‘act out’ all the different hugs. Can they think of any others and draw an accompanying picture? You could collect them together and create your own book of hugs.
