There are eight books in the Mr Gum series, and all have exciting titles and stories, such as Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire. Think of an idea for a new Mr Gum book- what cunning plan will he have next? Will he have any accomplices? Who will help to stop him? Where will the story take place? What will happen in the end? What will the title be? Divide the class into pairs and ask them to discuss their new story idea. Allow five minutes for this discussion and ask pupils to write down notes about their ideas. Then ask all the pairs to tell their story idea to the rest of the class.
