Contract: Full time (35 hours per week), permanent

Salary: £26,000–£28,499 (Grade 4)

Job Summary

The Early Years (EY) Community Engagement Project Manager will work closely with the EY Community Engagement Manager and the wider Early Years team to develop resources for Bookbug practitioners and parents, provide quality assurance, and project manage specific targeted projects that support the aims and objectives of the Bookbug programme. The Community Engagement team works in a targeted way with families who need the most support to access the benefits of book sharing and singing.

The post holder requires significant experience, knowledge and understanding of early years development and early years policy in Scotland, as well as a strong background in project management.

The EY Community Engagement Project Manager is line managed by the EY Community Engagement Manager. The post holder will line manage the EY Community Engagement Co-ordinator and the EY Community Engagement Administrator.

The post is based at Scottish Book Trust offices in Edinburgh – the role will be working remotely with designated access to the office during current restrictions.

The post-holder must be prepared to undertake travel across Scotland, from time to time travel elsewhere in the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

This appointment will be conditional upon securing Basic Disclosure level clearance from Disclosure Scotland.
