Due to budget constraints, we have taken the difficult decision not to continue with the Ignite Fellowship programme.

The current awardees will still complete their work on the programme and we will continue to maintain our links with the alumni of the Ignite Fellowship. We will share some highlights of the Ignite Fellowship soon, to recognise the legacy of all that they have achieved over the years.

For more information on support and opportunities for writers, please visit our Opportunities for writers page and sign up to our Writers newsletter.

About the Ignite Fellowship

The Ignite Fellowship supported established writers embarking on or working through a significant project. The Fellowship was developed in consultation with our Writers Advisory Panel, with three awards available in total. We worked in partnership with the Gaelic Books Council to provide one award specifically for a writer working in Gaelic. We also strongly encouraged applications from writers working in Scots.

Fellows received:

All mentoring, training and similar opportunities included an option for remote attendance as needed.

Comhaltachd Las (Gaelic Translation)
