New Writers Awards Showcase 2017

Hear some of Scotland’s most exciting new writers perform their work, live, as Scottish Book Trust celebrates the New Writers Awards at Edinburgh's Jam House.

These awards highlight of some of the finest new writing talent emerging in the Scottish scene and each year, expert panellists have the hard task of selecting awardees from hundreds

of entries. 2016’s judges included Jess Richards (Author of Snake Ropes) Cat Clarke (The Lost and the Found) and Gerry Cambridge (Poet and editor of The Dark Horse) - this is your chance to hear the Awardees they selected read from their own work!

Our writers will also be joined by talented teenage singer, producer and writer, Be Charlotte. A recent winner of the Best Electronic Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, she's known for her poignant socially perceptive song, idiosyncratic vocals and dexterous melodies.

Book your tickets now to join the 2016 Awardees and host Siân Bevan at The Jam House in Edinburgh on Thursday 26 January 2017.
