Industry Lab: Marketing for Writers
Scottish Book Trust, in association with Creative Scotland, is delighted to present a two-day Lab for professional writers.
This lab will introduce you to a variety of different techniques to market your work and develop your public profile as a writer. There will be practical tasks, plenty of time for discussion, and feedback and resources to take away.
You will be part of a group of 10 selected writers and will work with industry professionals, expert guest speakers and our experienced marketing team.
The lab will cover the following topics:
- Websites and copywriting
- Social media
- Press, PR and publicity
- Events (bookshops, schools and libraries)
Lab dates: Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March 2019
Times: 9am-5pm (lunch provided)
Location: The Melting Pot, Edinburgh
Cost: The lab is free with lunch provided on both days. However, participants will need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. If costs may provide a barrier to participation, please email us at email@example.com.
We aim to get in touch with all applicants within two weeks of the deadline.
Speakers: TBC - a mixture of Scottish Book Trust staff and external experts.
