Writers and Publishers
Scottish Book Trust supports Scottish writers at all stages of their careers and provides them with a vital link to their audience. Writers are quite simply the key to what we do.
We support writers through:
- part-funding writer visits to schools and communities
- managing writer development programme for emerging and established writers
- organising nationwide writer tours and events
- running readership development campaigns, ensuring that their work is read in Scottish schools and libraries
- promoting competitions and awards, like the BBC National Short Story Award
- providing accurate information about writers and their book
