Author: Arthur Conan Doyle
Synopsis

A classic of the mystery genre. Sherlock Holmes and his faithful assistant are called in to investigate a seemingly supernatural hound haunting the Baskerville family.

My Story

The book that changed my life was 'The Hound of the Baskerville’s.' It is a Sherlock Holmes story based around the county of Devon and Dartmoor.

It takes you through the death of Sir Charles Baskerville by a heart attack but it seems that darker forces were involved.
Sir Henry Baskerville is followed from London to the home of his ancestors. Eventually the hound from hell attacks Sir Henry but is killed by Holmes.

It inspired me to want to write my own stories and also read more Conan Doyle stories. Writing stories helps me to express a part of myself that would not normally be obvious to anyone else. It gives me a chance to show what I am capable of doing with my creative side.

Reading this book was more enjoyable than watching any of the films made. I read this book in bed whilst relaxing, this is definitely a book I could not put down.

It is the pleasure of reading a book that computerised books can not replace and together with the smell of a new book and the texture of paper when you turn a page that can never be replaced.

To me 'The Hound of the Baskerville' showed how goodwill always wins over evil. It also should not matter what position you find yourself in society then or now, you can always have good things happen as well as bad. That has not changed since the dawn of time.
