Joachim Hacker's story about Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited
« Back to The Book That Changed My LifeNot sure if the category is right. It's basically an extended FAQ's collection for people suffering from Narcissistic Personal Disorder and/or Partners, Friends or Relatives who in in a lot of cases suffer more than the patient itself.
My Story
Really difficult o explain the whole deatails of the influence this book had on my life.
As a long time sufferer from NPD and being chronic depressed state for the last eight years this book has actually given me a completely new perspective on my condition and in fact my whole life.
This in turn has let to me starting therapy again with different outlook, changing medication to something that actually works and already beginning to change behavioural patterns.
The actual amount of insights and changes I have gained from reading this book are far too many to go into any greater details in here.

I recently ended a relationship with someone i am convinced has a narcisistic personality disorder and if it wasn't for the fact that she was isn't that bright it could have been ar worse. i wish i had read on the danger of leaving someone with a NPD before i did as when i left Vanda she then told people i was threatening and harassing her and abusive etc but at the same time she was texting me full of love and manipulation to try andget me back so i took my phone to a solicitor as she gave me all the evidence i needed to absolve myself. Hideous experience. The signs should be much more widely publicised!
