Some comments from last year’s participants...

  • I learned an amazing amount. Adrian and all his guests were engaging, informative and very generous - it was a great experience. They gave a clear route-map into a profession that's notoriously hard to break into.
  • I'm already implementing some of the great ideas, tips and advice which were imparted over the highly instructive and inspiring few days of screen lab.
  • The course was amazing. I gained a real insight into the industry and now feel enthused to pursue my goals with vigour and boldness! Having access to professional writers, actors and cinematographers on such a personal level has bolstered my fervour, not only for screenwriting but creative writing more generally.
  • I was impressed and feel I learned a huge amount. It gave me a clear insight into (what seems from the outside) to be an impenetrable profession. The information was relevant and concise and Adrian and will the speakers were very generous in their approach to the participants.
  • I had an amazing time at Screen Lab. I'd already read a couple of books on screenwriting and to be honest, I had some (small) doubts about whether the whole thing would just be a retread of what I already knew. I needn't have worried. Adrian avoided the well trodden ground of screenwriting theory, and instead concentrated on the before and after: how best to prepare and organise projects, how to make sure scripts are as polished as they can be, and finally, how to actually get finished manuscripts into the hands of producers and agents.
  • Thank you very much for organising such a wonderful course.
