Celebrating Freedom

I’ve always been trying to set myself free

Free from doubts, fear, and the anger in me

To awaken from darkness that kept me buried

I had to find the strength to be able to fight

So, I could open my eyes to be able to see this beautiful light

All my emotions were once so shy

Now I can laugh, be happy and cry

I have a joy in me that feels so grand

Like listening to the inner sound of a marching band

I’m filled with gratitude, peace, and love

My soul has taken flight, just like a dove

The angels are having a celebration in the sky

Rousing my vibration until I can fly

I know that God is looking now

I’m so struck with awe, all I can say is 'WOW!'
