Review:
I have chosen a book by Ross Collins called "The Robe of Skulls" for my book report. This is the first book by this author that I have read before and I really liked it and will be looking for even more books by him. Gracie is a very happy and jolly character even though she is being treated badly. She is 10 years old and she's set on a quest to stop her evil stepsister and Lady Lamorna from turning princes and princesses into frogs. My favourite characters were Marlon and Gubble. Marlon is a bat who is leading the way to the house of Ancient Crones. I would like to say my favourite quote is: The Ancient One said "A mere fifty years will cure her good.". Then Gracie said "Erm.. She's not easy to tame". "We have our ways." said the Ancient One. I loved the illustrations, they are very well drawn and the detail of the character's expressions is great. I also enjoyed the speech. I just think this is a great book. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody from the age of 7 to 12 years and who is keen on any adventure stories.
