Review:
This book is about a girl named Elfie whose life is a mystery. She comes asan orphan to the Pig and Whistle, a pub run by Ma and Pa Bigsby who already look after ten children. Elfie's mother and father are unknown to her but Ma likes a good mystery and Pa is keen to sort it out.
My favourite part of the story is the fight when Elfie finds some of her old homeless acquaintances and they don't like how Elfie has changed.
There isn't anything I didn't like about the book, it was a good mystery and I raced through it. I haven't read any of the other books yet but this one stands a good chance of being my favourite.
