Review:
The Eleventh Orphan is by Joan Lingard and is about an eleven year old girl named Elfie who is brought out of the cold, damp streets of London and stays at the Pig and Whistle with Ma and Pa Bigsby. I think this book was a bit boring at the start but once you get into it you can hardly put it down. It got really exciting when Elfie and Pa Bigsby put the puzzle together and unravelled the mystery to find Elfie's dad. My favourite character is Pa Bigsby because he is nice to all the characters in the story. I would recommend this book for ages 9-11 years because it is quite long.
