Review:
I found that this book was very interesting and enjoyable. I would recommend the book to someone who likes mysterious and adventurous books. But I would not go into a store and buy the book as my first choice because for me the book does not have enough humour for me to enjoy the book a lot,and at times the book gets a bit hard to read. But overall I think the book was well written and uses lots of adjectives.
The book starts off with an eleven year-old girl from Stoke Newington called Elfie turning up on Ma and Pa Bigsby's orphanage/pub called The Pig and Whistle doorstep with Constable O'Dowd (the local policeman). Funnily enough, she produces a water colour of the The Pig and Whistle.
