Review:
The Eleventh Orphan is a really exciting book which I could hardly put down! The first chapter was gripping! My first impression of the chapter was upsetting when I read the description about her clothes as i thought about myself, and how lucky I am. Constable O' Dowd is a wonderful police officer and a true gentleman to everyone close to him and I thought it was so thoughtful when he took Elfie to Mr. and Mrs. Bigsby. The Bigsby's weren't going to take Elfie at first as they had ten children already, which I could understand from a financial point of view. The best surprise in the book for me was when Mr Bigsby said that Elfie's mum could have been one of their orphans they had but her mum died so they began looking for her dad. When they look for clues her dad lives close by but has a wife and kid (who is very spoilt)! The ending of the bookwas quite sudden as she doesn't go and stay with her dad she decides to stay with Mr and Mrs Bigsby.
